Empower a Life officially started its impact journey in 2020, however the idea evolved through the years between a mom and her two girls who strived to use their unique strengths to make a difference, one life at a time. Our mission became to empower young children and women to live their best lives through education, mentorship, or through contributions to foundations that support the wellbeing of adversely impacted individuals.
We are a small team with goals of making tremendous impact. As a mom and daughter team, we take our strengths and contacts outside of work and school to empower - one life at a time.
We partner with a variety of organizations and businesses in local and international communities to provide financial support, education and mentorship.
Our mission is simple - we help others so they can better help themselves. Our goal is to provide support, through educational or financial resources to allow children and women to be more self-sufficient.
We help schools in Africa that focus on children with Albinism and provide basic necessities such as hats and sunglasses so those children can live as normal a life as possible. In our local communities we provide tutoring services to girls and mentoring services to young women entering the workforce.
Simra is the Chief Counselor at Empower a Life. She was born with Albinism and her goal is to set an example for others on how not to let your disabilities define your life. Her primary focus is to work with her mom to support others like her that may be at a disadvantage due to health reasons. Her dream is to travel to Africa to meet her friends with Albinism and help them in person.
Ammara is the co-founder of Empower a Life and her focus is on finding educational opportunities for children in underserved communities. Her personal mission to help girls overcome their fear of math, especially in communities with little to no tutoring resources.
Saba is the co-founder of Empower a Life. With experience as an executive in many large banks, Saba knows first-hand the challenges faced by women in corporate America. Personally, and through her network of women executives, Saba hopes to bring support and mentorship to young women as they embark on their own corporate journey.
